Hollywood Stars Rally for U.S. Presidential Candidates: Musk Backs Trump, DiCaprio and Beyoncé Support Harris
The countdown to the U.S. presidential election on November 5 has begun, with only ten days remaining. All eyes are on the contest between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris as they work hard to win voters over.
To strengthen their campaigns, both candidates are receiving support from Hollywood stars. Many celebrities from the sports and film industries have openly endorsed their preferred candidates, hoping to influence their fans and sway election results.
On one side, notable figures like Taylor Swift, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, and Chris Rock are supporting Kamala Harris. Meanwhile, Jason Aldean, Lee Greenwood, Elon Musk, Kid Rock, and Roseanne Barr are rallying behind Trump.
Celebrities Campaigning on Social Media and at Rallies
On Friday, Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio shared a video on social media endorsing Kamala Harris. He stated, “Climate change is destroying our planet and our economy. That’s why I’m voting for Kamala Harris.”
Pop star Beyoncé also participated in a campaign rally for Harris in her hometown of Houston, where she emphasized her presence as a mother rather than just a celebrity. Her remarks highlighted the importance of bodily autonomy, referencing abortion laws.
Many stars have already participated in Trump’s campaign rallies. Elon Musk was seen dancing on stage with Trump and announced that he would reward early voters with a $1 million prize.
In addition to Musk, Lee Greenwood, Dennis Quaid, and Jason Aldean have all joined Trump at various events.
Hollywood’s Long History in Politics
This isn’t the first time Hollywood has shown interest in elections. After McCarthy’s government fell, Joseph Kennedy’s rise was celebrated much like a film star. The Hollywood community overwhelmingly supported Kennedy, with numerous pop stars participating in rallies and raising substantial funds for his campaign.
Tight Race as Polls Show Trump Slightly Ahead
As the election date approaches, excitement is at an all-time high. Kamala Harris aims to make history, while Donald Trump seeks to bring about change with his unique style and promises.
Currently, Trump holds a narrow lead over Harris in the latest polls, with a slight 0.2% advantage. Out of the top five polls, two favor Harris, two favor Trump, and one shows both candidates in a tie. According to the New York Times/Siena poll, both candidates have roughly 48% support.
Earlier in October, Harris was at 49%, while Trump had 46%. In surveys by the Wall Street Journal and CNBC, Trump received 48% and Harris 46%. Ipsos polling shows Harris at 48% and Trump at 45%, while Emerson College’s survey has Harris leading with 50% compared to Trump’s 49%.
