In 2011, Musheer Khan started playing cricket at a very young age. He spent most of his childhood in Azad Maidan, where his father Naushad Khan used to train him in cricket. Musheer played in the Giles Shield tournament at the age of just 6.

In his first Ranji season, he scored 96 runs in three matches for Mumbai and also took two wickets. In a match, Musheer had also opened with Prithvi Shaw and scored 42 runs, while Prithvi Shaw played a big inning of 379 runs.

When Musheer Khan got the opportunity to play in the CK Nayudu Trophy in 2023, he shot to fame for Mumbai by taking 16 wickets at an average of 13.81 besides scoring a triple century (339 runs). After this, he represented India in the 2023 Under-19 Asia Cup in UAE.
