He took 6 wickets in the first match of the tournament and seven wickets in the second match. Musheer bowled brilliantly in the Mumbai Gymkhana tournament, taking 21 wickets in four matches.

In his first Ranji season, he scored 96 runs in three matches for Mumbai and also took two wickets. In a match, Musheer had also opened with Prithvi Shaw and scored 42 runs, while Prithvi Shaw played a big inning of 379 runs.
