Gokulpuri Metro Station Boundary Wall Collapsed: A major accident occurred in Delhi on Thursday. Some part of Gokulpuri metro station suddenly fell down. Rescue is going on at the spot.
Delhi News: Metro slab has fallen in Gokulpuri area of Delhi. One person died in this accident. Four people were injured and were taken to the hospital. It was reported that three to four bikes were buried under the debris in the accident. It is being told that this accident happened at around 11 in the morning. Police and fire brigade teams reached the spot.
DMRC has announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 15 lakh to the family of the deceased in the collapse of a part of Gokulpuri metro station. Also, the reasons behind the collapse of a part of Gokulpuri metro station will be investigated. DMRC has ordered immediate suspension of two officials in the incident of collapse of a part of Gokulpuri metro station.
Police and metro employees present on the spot
Let us tell you that at around 11 am on Thursday morning, a part of the eastern side of Gokalpuri metro station fell on the road below. One person died and four people were injured in this accident. The policemen tried to identify the injured people. Along with this, debris is being removed from the spot with the help of JCB and crane. Local police and metro employees are present on the spot. In this case, a case will be registered under relevant sections. Some bikes were also damaged in this incident. A unit of Gokulpuri DFS has been kept on standby as a part of the slab is still hanging there.
Regarding this accident, DCP of North Delhi said that a case will be registered under relevant sections of the law and further investigation is going on. At the same time, after this accident, questions are being raised about the quality of construction work because this Pink Route is one of the new routes of the Metro.
